1ST WAVE START TIME: 8:30 A.M. at East Fort Baker. Rain or Shine!
There is no parking or registration at the start.
NO PARKING or DROP-OFFS at the START
Start Area DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE OR ALLOW participant drop-off or Parking. Participants must take event shuttles to start area.
NO REGISTRATION SERVICES at the START
No Registration/Will Call services at the Start area*****these services are at Aquatic Park.
BUS SHUTTLES TO START FROM SAN FRANCISCO
Buses leave from Aquatic Park beginning at 6:30 A.M. You must arrive by 8:00 A.M. to ensure a seat on the bus. YOU MUST HAVE A BIB NUMBER TO GET ON SHUTTLE BUS. There are no post-race shuttles.
BUS SHUTTLES TO START FROM SAUSALITO
Buses will leave from downtown Sausalito between 7:00 and 8:00 A.M. Bus pick-up will be located at Bridgeway and Princess. YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED AND HAVE A BIB NUMBER TO GET ON THE SHUTTLE BUS. There are no post-race shuttles.

3 WAVE START
15 minute intervals between waves will decrease crowding on the course. Waves are assigned by age and best 2011 10K time and date entry is received. Entries mailed in together will automatically be assigned to same wave (wave #2 or #3). All runners have an equal opportunity to score, qualify and win. Computers adjust the times according to the wave start. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRST WAVE ASSIGNMENTS RACE DAY!

COURSE
Certified 12K (7.45 Miles) course from East Fort Baker; across the Golden Gate Bridge west sidewalk to Aquatic Park. Hilly, paved and beautiful. Sorry, for safety reasons, no dogs or wheels (i.e. baby strollers, baby joggers or skates) allowed on the course or on the shuttle buses. After two hours, participants will be moved to the sidewalks/paths to finish. The Finish Line will be open till Noon.
CHIP TIMING
You will receive your bib # with the timing chip - see CHIP HOW TO for instructions on attaching the chip. The top 3 overall men and women as well as all USA Track & Field Prize money winners will be determined by the gun/horn start, age division winners will be determined by chip timing start.

$2900. Award winners must be PA/USATF members. Prize money is awarded to PA/USATF members only. PA/USATF Championship divisions as follows: Open, Masters, Senior, Super Senior, Veteran and Teams.

| Earphones are not allowed for PA/USATF members who are competing for the prize money and/or points.
EMERALD BONUS PRIZE: $1,000 for man and/or woman who beats the open men's or women's course record. Current course records: Women’s -Linda Somers-Smith, 40:27 (1995)*, Men’s -Bill Donakowski, 35:48 (1987)*
NOTE: Course records extend back to when this race was known as the ‘Houlihan’s to Houlihan’s 12K.’

THE PAUL SLOAN CLYDESDALE AND ATHENA DIVISION
Men 200 lbs - Women 150 lbs. Must pre-register and weigh in after the race at the Age Divisions booth. Check box on entry form. (More information on the race program)
FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS
- If you wear earphones, wear ones that allow you to hear your surroundings.
- No dogs or wheels (i.e baby strollers,skates, bikes, scooters, etc.)
- Runners/Walkers line up according to your assigned wave start as well as your minute-per mile pace.
OFFICIAL RACE PHOTOS
Brightroom photographers will take your photograph at various points along the race course and at the finish line and you will be able to view, share and purchase your race photos on brightroom.com!

AWARDS
Emerald Premium Snack Gifts will be awarded from the stage beginning approximately at 10:15 AM to the top 3 men and women in the overall and masters category. Medals will be presented from the Age Division Tent starting approximately at 10:30 AM to top 3 men and women in the following divisions: 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+
RACE BIBS REQUIRED
Bib #'s must be worn on front of shirt for entry into start area, to board shuttle bus, on the course, in the finish chutes, for photos, and to receive finisher shirt and refreshments.
FINISHER T-SHIRT
All finishers will receive a long-sleeve 100% cotton event t-shirt. We try to accommodate size preference but cannot guarantee sizes. For an additional $25 you can order the Souvenir Short-sleeve Poly-Dri Wicking Shirt featuring this year's event logo.
POST RACE CELEBRATION
Join us after the race at Aquatic Park on Fisherman's Wharf for "A Celebration of Running", with refreshments, live music, runner goodie bag, awards ceremony, t-shirt and souvenir wicking shirt pickup.
